Navigating the world of MagSafe compatible phone cases is no easy task. There are a reasonably hefty number on the market at the moment, and it’s not always clear what the pros and cons of each are. We’re going to talk you through both of our MagSafe compatible phone cases - Limitless 4.0 and Infinity - tell you a bit about what they can do and how they each differ from our previous models.

What is MagSafe?
Great question. It’s hard to talk about MagSafe compatible phone cases when you don’t know what MagSafe actually is.
MagSafe is Apple's new magnetic mounting system which is built into all of their iPhone 12 phones. It allows the phone to magnetically connect to a range of accessories, cases and the MagSafe wireless charger. The original iteration of MagSafe was actually the technology in MacBook chargers, but Apple have given their magnetic tech a face lift and relaunched for the iPhone 12.
What is Limitless 4.0 - MagSafe Compatible?
Limitless 4.0 is the latest in our long line of Limitless devices, and is our first of two MagSafe compatible phone cases. Limitless 4.0 is designed from the ground up to be compatible with the whole world of Apple’s MagSafe. We’ve taken the style and protection of Limitless 3.0 and altered the magnetic design so it connects seamlessly with MagSafe compatible chargers and accessories.
With our years of expertise designing and engineering magnetic phone cases and accessories, we developed Limitless 4.0. Through sophisticated engineering, we sandwiched 38 perfectly positioned magnets between thin sheets of stiff materials. This creates a MagSafe compatible phone case for maximum protection, minimal bulk and total functionality.
What’s the Difference Between Limitless 3.0 and Limitless 4.0?
First and foremost, Limitless 4.0 is designed specifically to be a MagSafe compatible phone case, Limitless 3.0 is not. Our Limitless 3.0 cases are designed to work with our own AutoAlignPlus™ ecosystem of accessories, whereas our Limitless 4.0 cases are designed to work with our MagSafe compatible accessories and Apple’s MagSafe accessories. Limitless 4.0 is slightly thinner than Limitless 3.0 in order to facilitate the magnetic connection between the iPhone and the accessory. Don’t worry though, it has a completely negligible effect on how protective this MagSafe compatible phone case is.
So, which is better? Limitless 4.0 or Limitless 3.0? Honest answer - it depends what you’re looking for. Limitless 3.0 is great if you have an iPhone 11 or earlier, or any Android phone. You can enjoy all the benefits of magnetic mounting with our innovative AutoAlignPlus™ system. Limitless 4.0 is great if you want to connect seamlessly with the Apple MagSafe Charger and other MagSafe compatible accessories. You can use Limitless 3.0 with the iPhone 12 and the MagSafe Charger, you just won’t be able to use MagSafe compatible accessories. Similarly, you won’t be able to use Limitless 4.0 with our Limitless 3.0 accessories, so if you’re particularly keen on our wall mounts or car vent mounts, Limitless 3.0 might be a better bet.
What is Infinity - MagSafe Compatible?
Infinity is a crystal clear MagSafe compatible phone case. Infinity brings magnetic connectivity to a completely clear case without sacrificing an impressive degree of protection. This is a clear case that stays clear - designed with anti-yellowing, UV-resistant technology and treated with an anti-scratch coating, Infinity will be clear as long as you need it to be. Built with strong, rigid materials like polycarbonate (PC) and carefully considered design features, Infinity boasts an impressive degree of protection. It keeps your MagSafe compatible phone safe against all kinds of damage. Seamlessly connectable to a range of Mous MagSafe compatible accessories and Apple’s MagSafe Charger and accessories, you no longer have to choose between a protective clear case and a range of magnetic add-ons. This is a MagSafe compatible phone case that really offers the best of both worlds.
So Is Infinity Just Like Clarity?
You might already know Clarity, a signature range of clear cases. Clarity, however, is not a MagSafe compatible phone case. Our Infinity cases aren’t actually based on Clarity. Our Infinity cases are an evolution of the way that we designed our Clarity Lite cases. We know that our customers prioritise a completely crystal clear exterior over all else and we also knew that minimal bulk was of utmost importance. Hence our first clear MagSafe compatible phone case was based on Clarity Lite.
It is, however, different to Clarity Lite in some key ways. We’ve integrated a MagSafe compatible array of magnets into the back of the case, which means that this is a clear case with magnetic connectivity. In addition, our Infinity cases feature a subtle, coloured design on their back plate that conceals the magnets. It’s designed in a range of colours which perfectly complement the iPhone 12’s native design.
Since Infinity is a MagSafe compatible phone case and features magnetic technology, there’s some confusion about whether it would work with our Limitless 3.0 accessories. Unfortunately it will not, for much the same reasons that Limitless 4.0 isn’t backwards compatible with Limitless 3.0. Our Infinity cases are designed with a MagSafe magnetic array, whereas our Limitless 3.0 cases are designed with our own AutoAlignPlus™ magnetic array. Final Thoughts
Whether you pick up a MagSafe compatible phone case or not completely depends on what you want to get out of your iPhone 12.
